Jon’s passion for drumming was first kindled listening to his father, a professional drummer. For years however, Jon resisted the urge to play because, “It was what dad did.” At fifteen however, Jon started to take a serious interest in the instrument. "I will always remember the Ludwig red sparkle kit that sat in my dad's office," says Colwell. Now, with thirty years of playing under his belt, Jonathan sees himself as a forever student of the drums.
